Shortened-Season Program

Midget Fall Hockey

The Midget Fall program provides players ages 16U–18U with the opportunity to continue playing competitive hockey before the high school hockey season begins.

The program participates in the Valley Hockey League (VHL) and typically runs from September through Thanksgiving, including playoffs.

Teams generally have one practice per week, in addition to scheduled league games. Specific schedules may vary by season.

Tuition Rates & Annual Adjustments

Peabody Youth Hockey is committed to keeping youth hockey as affordable and accessible as possible. Tuition rates are reviewed annually and may be adjusted based on factors outside the organization's control, including ice rental costs, league fees, equipment, and other operating expenses.

While significant increases are not anticipated from year to year, final tuition rates are established for each season and remain subject to change. PYH strives to minimize increases while maintaining the quality of our programs and the overall player experience.

Please Note: These rates apply to the 2026–2027 season. Midget Fall is a shortened-season program with separate pricing. Future-season rates will be announced once finalized.

Registration & Payments

How Payments Work

PYH manages registration, tuition, payment plans, and applicable program charges through TeamSnap to support consistent and organized financial management.

Official Payment Platform

TeamSnap Payment Processing

All registration and tuition payments are handled through TeamSnap.

A credit card is required for payment processing.

Centralizing payments allows the PYH Board to monitor balances, manage payment schedules, and maintain accurate financial records in one place.

Families should review their registration details and available payment options through TeamSnap.

Evaluation Registration

Non-Refundable Deposit

$150

A $150 non-refundable deposit is required before a player may take the ice for applicable evaluations.

The deposit is credited toward season tuition. It is not an additional charge above the published tuition.

These funds help PYH offset upfront costs, including ice-time deposits and practice and game jersey expenses.

Registration and deposit requirements for shortened-season or specialty programs may differ.

10% Pay-in-Full Discount

2026–2027 Season

Early Payment Discount

PYH offered a 10% tuition discount to eligible families who paid their 2026–2027 season tuition in full by July 31, 2026.

All discounted rates require the appropriate discount code. Families who believe they qualified but did not receive or apply their code should contact the PYH Board to review their account.

The July 31, 2026 early-payment deadline has passed.

Future-season discounts, eligibility requirements, and deadlines will be announced separately.

Additional Participation Options

Flexible Programs & Specialty Rates

PYH offers participation options designed to accommodate different hockey commitments and encourage players interested in goaltending.

Pay-to-Play Program

Play for Your Hometown

Peabody Youth Hockey's Pay-to-Play (PTP) program allows players who also participate with another hockey organization, such as a club team, to represent their hometown of Peabody and play alongside their friends.

PTP tuition includes participation in Valley Hockey League (VHL) games.

$15 Per Additional Skate

Each additional practice or skills development session attended by a PTP player incurs a $15 charge.

Attendance & Monthly Billing

Coaches help track PTP player attendance through TeamSnap. Participation in additional practices and skills sessions is recorded, and applicable charges are included in the family's monthly TeamSnap billing process.

This arrangement provides flexibility for players balancing multiple hockey commitments while charging families for the additional sessions they attend.

Players participating in most or all additional sessions may find their total costs approach standard full-time tuition.

Goaltender Tuition

Supporting Our Goaltenders

Goaltenders are essential to every hockey team. Without goalies, our players would not have the same opportunities to compete, develop, and enjoy the game.

To encourage participation, PYH offers substantially discounted goaltender tuition for eligible players.

Approximately $600 2026–2027 Season

The discounted goaltender tuition for the 2026–2027 season is approximately $600. The applicable amount should be confirmed through registration.

Discount Code Required

Eligible families must use the appropriate discount code to receive reduced goaltender tuition. Please contact PYH if you have not received the code before completing payment.

PYH is committed to supporting goaltender development and encouraging players interested in this important position.

Financial Responsibility

Outstanding Balances & Eligibility

Timely payments help PYH meet its financial obligations and maintain responsible operations for all our hockey programs.

Previous-Season Balances

Peabody Youth Hockey requires outstanding tuition and program fees from previous seasons to be paid in full before a player may register, participate in evaluations, or be rostered for the following season.

Players with an outstanding previous-season balance are not eligible to participate in the upcoming season until their account balance reaches $0, unless an alternative payment arrangement has been formally approved by the PYH Board of Directors.

Families experiencing financial difficulties should contact the Board before registration to discuss their circumstances and explore available payment arrangements.

Any exceptions are considered individually and require Board approval. Families with approved arrangements must remain current with their agreed-upon payment schedules to maintain eligibility.

If you believe an outstanding balance is inaccurate, please contact PYH to review the account and address any disputed charges.

Looking Ahead

Programs & Discounts Under Review

The PYH Board regularly evaluates opportunities to make participation more affordable and flexible while maintaining the organization's long-term financial sustainability.

Not Currently Offered

Sibling Discounts

PYH does not currently offer a sibling tuition discount.

The Board is reviewing the financial feasibility of introducing discounts for families with multiple children enrolled in our hockey programs.

Any future sibling discount would require Board approval and would be announced before implementation.

Not Currently Offered

Mite (8U) Pay-to-Play

Pay-to-Play is not currently available to Mite (8U) players.

The Board is exploring whether a similar participation option could be offered at the Mite level in a future season.

Any future decision would consider scheduling, player development, operational requirements, and financial sustainability.

These options remain under consideration. Neither is currently available, and future implementation is not guaranteed.

Payment Plans & Financial Assistance

Helping Families Keep Kids on the Ice

Peabody Youth Hockey understands that youth sports represent a significant financial commitment for families. We recognize that financial circumstances can change and are committed to working with families whenever possible.

Payment plans are available. Families experiencing financial difficulties are encouraged to contact the PYH Board of Directors directly to discuss their circumstances.

As a volunteer-led nonprofit organization, we strive to make hockey accessible and do not want financial hardship alone to prevent a child from participating.

We are willing to explore reasonable payment arrangements and available assistance based on individual circumstances. We can only explore ways to help when we are aware of the need.

Financial discussions will be approached respectfully and with appropriate discretion. Any arrangements are subject to available resources and, where applicable, Board approval.
