Welcome to the Team

Thank You for Volunteering

Whether you are returning for another season or participating for the first time, thank you for supporting Peabody Youth Hockey.

USA Hockey's registration, safety training, and coaching education requirements help establish a safe, positive, and development-focused environment for our players. The process may seem extensive, but completing each step individually makes it manageable.

All PYH coaches, team managers, and volunteers must register with USA Hockey for the 2026–2027 season. Additional training and screening requirements depend on the responsibilities of each role.

2026–2027 Registration

Select Your Role

Please complete the TeamSnap registration appropriate for your role. Each registration is managed separately to help PYH maintain accurate organizational records.

Important: Requirements Before Participation

Coaches are responsible for confirming that their USA Hockey coaching profile is current.

Team Administration

Team Managers

Team managers help keep our teams organized and provide essential support to coaches, players, and families.

Team Manager Responsibilities

Team managers may assist with communication, schedule coordination, team information, league administration, and other organizational activities as assigned.

Their involvement helps coaches concentrate on player development and team activities.

Required Registration & Safety Training

Team managers must complete their annual USA Hockey registration, maintain current SafeSport training, and complete the required background screening before serving in the role.

Coaching education clinics and age-specific coaching modules are not required unless the individual also serves as a coach.

LTS/LTP Volunteers

Our introductory hockey programs depend on volunteers who help create a welcoming, encouraging environment for beginning skaters.

Supporting New Skaters

Volunteers may assist with program check-in, organization, equipment, and other approved off-ice activities.

Qualified on-ice instructors help young players develop their skating and hockey fundamentals in a positive, age-appropriate setting.

Safety & On-Ice Eligibility

All PYH LTS/LTP volunteers must register with USA Hockey and complete the screening and safety training applicable to their responsibilities.

Individuals assisting with on-ice instruction must be appropriately registered and qualified as coaches before participating. A volunteer registration alone does not authorize coaching.

All authorized on-ice coaches and assistants must wear a helmet.

Yes. PYH requires all coaches, team managers, and volunteers to register with USA Hockey for the 2026–2027 season.

The additional certification and safety requirements depend on the individual's role.

Do I need to register with USA Hockey every year?

Yes. USA Hockey membership is renewed annually, and each season has a new registration confirmation number.

Do team managers need coaching certification?

No. Team managers serving in off-ice administrative roles do not need to complete coaching education clinics or age-specific coaching modules.

They must still complete USA Hockey registration, current SafeSport training, and required background screening.

Individuals subject to SafeSport training must keep it current, generally by completing the applicable annual refresher after initial Core Training.

Do I need to repeat my age-specific module?

Coaches moving into a different division may need to complete additional training. Coaches should review their USA Hockey Learning Center profile for current requirements.
