Peabody Youth Hockey · Player Development
Better Skills. More Confidence. A Lifelong Love of Hockey.
PYH combines dedicated team coaching with additional skating, hockey skills, and goaltending instruction. Our development partners bring focused expertise that helps players improve throughout the season.
Meet Our Development Partners ↓Our Approach
Every player develops differently. Skating ability, experience, confidence, and areas for improvement can vary widely, even among teammates.
Team practices remain the foundation of PYH's program. Specialized instructors complement our volunteer coaches by providing focused instruction, purposeful repetitions, and different coaching perspectives.
Edge control, stride mechanics, balance, agility, speed, and efficient movement.
Stickhandling, passing, shooting, puck protection, and execution at game speed.
Position-specific skating, movement, save techniques, puck tracking, and confidence.
2026–2027 Development Partners
PYH works with four specialized training organizations. Their instruction complements team practices and helps us offer a wider range of development opportunities. Select any partner card to visit its website.

01 / Hockey Skills
ProSkill Development provides focused hockey instruction that helps players strengthen their individual skills and apply them in game situations.

02 / Power Skating
Jacqui Vona Power & Edge specializes in skating mechanics, edge control, balance, acceleration, and efficient movement.

03 / Hockey Development
Boston Hockey Skills brings additional development opportunities focused on puck skills, purposeful repetitions, and active learning.

04 / Goaltending
Stop It Goaltending provides goalie-focused coaching in movement, positioning, save technique, puck tracking, and game awareness.
Seasonal participation: Partner sessions, age groups, schedules, and availability depend on PYH's current-season programming. A partner's independent programs are separate from PYH-organized sessions.
How It Fits Together
Additional instruction works best when it reinforces the learning already taking place with PYH teams.
01 / Team Coaching
Regular practices help players develop fundamentals, teamwork, consistency, and an understanding of the game.
02 / Specialized Training
Skating, puck-skills, and goalie instructors offer targeted feedback and extra opportunities to work on specific areas.
03 / Game Experience
Players apply what they learn in game situations, improving decision-making, confidence, and teamwork.
During the Season
PYH may coordinate additional skating, team skills, and goalie development sessions during the hockey season. Opportunities vary by age level, team, and training schedule.
Families should use TeamSnap and official PYH communications for confirmed sessions, participation information, and any applicable fees.
